On my wrist today
This is technically my first mechanical watch (HMT Chetan is my father's watch... I'm just looking after it in my opinion ☺️). I bought it on a whim because .. oooh green dial ... Pretty. That's it. I didn't know it was mechanical until I asked the salesman how many batteries it takes. To his credit he explained the differences between quartz and mechanical movements to me.
This was the genesis of my obsession with watches. Since then I started researching. I stumbled across Nico Leonard' s channel.. wrist watch revival chanel etc.
I wouldn't have my collection today if it wasn't for this.
I'm a conessuer of cheap watches with interesting dials... I don't have much money so a Seiko 5 is an expensive purchase. Make of that what you will. But I strive for a brighter future where I can aff...
That's a good piece to start with. Love that green dial, too. Are the hands and indices gold, or silver? Hard to tell from this pic.
