Flieger Friday and Groundhog Day. What to wear? This traditional Type A flieger from Dekla, a German microbrand, has the feel of annual repetition of Groundhog Day so it seems the most appropriate choice. The bronze case and sunray blue dial are options . The thick leather strap is reminiscent of the 1940's. It doesn't have the heritage of the brands that manufactured watches in this style for the German Luftwaffe in WWII. But that also means it isn't directly linked to WWII Germany and all that entails. In any event it's a simple, elegant design that I find very appealing.
