I’m thinking of doing DIY watch club. What are your thoughts on the experience and quality of the watch you are left with?
The experience is very nice. You are provided with everything and you just have to follow the steps and assemble your watch. Very convenient for a first assembly if you have no to little experience.
As for the watch, it's decent quality. I haven't have the chance to compare it to a similar watch in the price range, so I'm eye balling it a bit. But I like having it in my collection as something I made with all the imperfections that I made.
I would likely not buy it for that price if it were already assembled, but as a way to experience assembling your own watch, I think it's worth it (but aim for the discounted kits).
Mathematician. Guitarist. Street photographer. D&D nerd and DM. Always liked watches. Pushed into the rabbit hole by a gift. Lurking at the Cartier Santos Dumont.
