As a Paneristi, I was itching for the day I could add a second Pan to my collection. Well, at last, after much searching, three canceled deals and some US customs shenanigans, I finally obtained one of my dream limited editions: Panerai Luminor Marina Titanium 8 Day Power Reserve. Only 1000 ever produced in the world!

Nicknamed “The Gettysburg”, the pictures simply don’t do it justice. It both looks and feels amazing on the wrist. (The lighter weight is absolutely noticeable.) With an 8 day power reserve, it’ll be interesting to see whether this piece loses any time during that period. Wild to think I won’t even need to consider winding my watch for over a week.

Another surprise I found upon setting the watch: this Pan has HACKING! For my fellow Paneristas who have been disappointed by the absence of seconds hacking in any of Pan’s modern collection, you’ll be relieved to know that accuracy won’t be a problem while setting the initial time in this piece.

The calf leather strap is appropriately supple and looks damn good on this piece. At long last, I have found my rugged daily watch and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase 🥲

It looks amazing! Yes the newer automatic models don’t come with hacking sadly.. I was relieved to find the manual winding ones do still have hacking!

Another cool feature I realised of a PAM422 is the second hand flying back to 12 when pulling out the crown.

Enjoy your watch in good health!
