Seiko Premier Chrinograph quartz. A year ago today my father passed. He wasn’t a big watch guy, but he always knew how much I appreciated them. When I was younger he got out a catalog (those paper books we used before the internet) and he wanted me to help him pick out a watch.

He wore the hell out of this. A couple years before he got sick, the pushers weren’t working and eventually there was so much gunk on it that it stopped working. So he gave this watch to me and said “maybe you’ll get it going again one day, but here. You’ve been waiting for this one for a while”. After his passing, I polished the originally bracelet, cleaned up all the desk diver scratches on the clasp, put it on a sailcloth strap anyways and got the internals all replaced.

As my collection continues to grow as I create new memories, this one always holds a special place in my heart, and my collection. Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season to all my fellow Crunchers!
