eBay Alpinist 2.0
Just 4 or 5 months ago I built the OG eBay Alpinist, but something felt like it was missing…what was missing of course was a black dial. Fast forward and now there’s a black dial in the watch and it feels like a proper Explorer/Alpinist build. As you can tell I’m not shy on where my inspiration for the build has come from. I’m in no position to buy an Explorer and don’t see the point at the moment in buying a true Alpinist when I can build this!
Safe to say this watch us my new GADA (go anywhere do anything) watch. A reasonably priced alternative to two of the most recognizable GADA/daily watches to date!
I haven’t worn anything else since building this watch. For “version 3.0” I plan on eventually regulating the movement and adding a “on the fly” adjustable clasp to the bracelet.
