I love the design. Watch brands could learn a thing or two from fashion houses. Beautiful timepiece Matt.

Bulgari aren't your normal fashion brand watches. They bought a Swiss movement company years ago so they could get properly into watches, and the Octo Finissimo was the world's thinnest automatic watch in the world when it was released, and when I bought it, it still had the world's thinnest automatic movement.

Agreed with the Octofinissimo. Their designs for watches in the 1930's through the 70's are mimicked in some form or fashion today. I was speaking more to aesthetics not the engines of the watch. The higher end fashion brands understand design language better in my opinion.
My point was if you combine them you could have the best of both worlds.

I didn't even know Bulgari made watches when I saw this one on a family trip to Chicago. I spent most of the rest of the day researching it on my phone while we walked down Michigan Ave. and shopped, and tried to convince myself to NOT spend $12,000 on a stupid watch. Obviously I failed. Not that I regret it, but it was a lot of money for me to spend on something so frivolous.

It's a knockout watch. Unfortunately folks still think of them as jewelry makers only, like Cartier. When you begin to look at their art deco design watches in that period they made stunning watches (I can't speak to the engines).
Again, your watch is gorgeous and certainly a grail for many. Have a great start to your weekend Matt.
