Tsovet thoughts?

I just received this watch. My immediate reaction was tepid. But wearing it for a few hours, it is growing on me. It is as if a Tudor red bezel Black Bay had a baby with a Seiko PRD51. The band is comfortable satin steel that gives it it a gunmetal look. The case has some interesting cuts that give it a little toughness. The lume is actually very good and the red black combo isn't common in higher end watches, only these middle ground brands. The crystal is sapphire and stands up from the bezel with a sharp cut that matches the lines on the case, pushing a utilitarian feel, which somehow still works with the very rounded and minimal dial markings. The movement is a standard NH35. The watch gives zero cares about giving the wearer any sub markings to tell the time or sub markings for the diver bezel, which makes for a significant trade off on design form over function. I have not given tsovet much thought as a brand, but this may hold my appetite over until I save for a black bay. Kinda fun. --thoughts?

I discovered Tsovet watches while scrolling through a charity auction site. There was very little bidding on the watch as it's leather strap was well worn and it wasn't working. Presumably the battery was dead but no guarantee. I'm a total sucker for small second dials and won it pretty cheap. When it arrived I was immediately impressed with the solid build quality and the decent quality Swiss Quartz movement. This watch is actually quite impressive. A quick check of their website (https://www.tsovet.com/collections/all-watches) and you see colorful and well designed watches with Seiko automatic movements and Solar quartz and kinetic movements. I'm actually looking into their San Miguel diver with the Miyota 9015 movement. IMHO Tsovet deserves some attention from the enthusiast community. Not really a fashion brand in my mind.
