The hidden attic in the Zenith Manufacture

It's both amusing and astonishing to realize that a portion of Rolex's legacy is intricately tied to a inconspicuous Swiss attic. I recently had the privilege of visting Zenith's Manufacture in Le Locle. The extensive four-hour journey through each meticulous in-house production step was enlightening, to say the least. Our exploration culminated in a visit to the famed attic, a place brimming with horological history.

Instead of rehashing the tale myself, I'd rather extend my accolades to Jack from Hodinkee, who has eloquently unveiled the chronicle of Charles Vermot and his historical attic, keeping alive a remarkable chapter in the art and history of watchmaking.

Good Lord, imaging getting your hand on one of those old dials and put it in a Seiko mod 😂
