Today’s time is being kept by this beautiful vintage Citizen Ace 21 Jewel Parashock I found in a vintage tool box I purchased from a yard sale.

I know very little about this watch; my knowledge is as follows:

- I estimate it is from the early 60s.

- It has a really interesting dial.

- It has flared lugs that I love.

That is all. That is what I know.

I have yet to open the case back, but it winds pretty smoothly and seems to run surprisingly well for a 60-something year old watch (about +45 s/day).

I will eventually open it up and learn more about it when the urge strikes, but I will simply continue to enjoy its vintage charm until then.
