Need advice on mechanical watches

I want to get a mechanical watch, but where I live can get dangerously hot, to where you need gloves to touch metal, to make things worse I live out side in a tent for 95 percent of the time due to my job.

So my question , can exstream ambient heat damage a mechanical watch or have side effects such as making the oils inside the watch evaporate.
