My purchases in Zürich

On my trip to Zürich, I knew I wanted to buy a Victorinox Swiss Army knife, replace some old kitchen knives, and get a Swiss made watch for under 500 chf. So this what I got to fill my shopping list.

The knives are a most get while in Switzerland. I haven’t had a Army knife in decades and I wanted a locking blade. When you press the Swiss flag, it unlocks the main blade.

The kitchen knives are replacing some very old knives that were cheap and just worn out.

Now the purchased that polarizing, the Swatch Blancoain. I had a budget of 500 chf and I knew my choices were limited. I looked at Tissot and Victorinox. To get what I liked by them, I had to go over my given budget and I could by them back in Ireland with a better VAT refund the Switzerland has. I always liked the Swatch Blancpain since I first saw it and since there isn’t a Swatch Boutique in Ireland, I figured I will buy it here plus it was under my budget. I have many MoonSwatches and I love them so I know I will like the Blancpain.

Looks like fish soup ahead 😉.

This is not a Swiss army knife, but a folding saber 😬. I gave one of these with a saw to my son when he moved out without any tools and housewares to start law school in another city. However I decided to take a model with corkscrew instead of screwdriver, because it is more important for a student and in a newly founded household.

Thanks for the correction.
