Here's one for those among us who love a watch that delivers outstanding value for money- who doesn't? This is a tournament in which we vote to determine the watch that WatchCrunch deems to be the ultimate value proposition!
Today, we have a tough one - the Casio G Shock DW5600 vs the Orient Bambino II. I initially had wanted to pit the C Ward The Twelve against the G Shock, but decided that the best competitor would be the Bambino.
The Bambino is often said to be the best entry level automatic watch. It costs between $140-200. It comes with a mineral crystal, 30m of water resistance, an in house (!!) Orient automatic movement and 40h of power reserve. It really is difficult to find anything like it in its price range.
The G Shock costs just $75 - an obvious choice for buyers who want a quality product at a ridiculously low price. You get quartz accuracy, G Shock's famous durability, retro style, and tons of functionality - alarm clock, stop watch, etc.
Again, remember that value is completely subjective. This poll isn't about trying to determine the objectively "better" watch, but which one you'd be more likely to be given it's perceived value proposition for you.
Vote away! Curious to see how this one pans out.

To be honest, the value youโre getting out of both time pieces really come up to be a tie in my opinion both leading the way for different occasions. The DW 5600 would be out of place an dressier situation. And the bambino wouldnโt be a fit to wear during a contact sport. I think the key here is the own both and be covered for any situation.

This is a tough one for sure, and I'm curious how it pans out! Personally, I think the Bambino wins out for me.
While a difficult choice, I voted Bambino for the sake that it gives so much for someone just getting into mechanical watches. G-Shocks are known far and wide, but the world of mechanical watches are more niche and can really shock (pun not intended) someone with how much they cost. For someone dipping their toes into it, the Bambino wins hands down.
