Sailcloth

So, I have an Artem sailcloth strap (good quality but quite pricy) and a Barton Bands one (cheaper but not as high quality). Now the Artem is getting a lot of wrist time, the Barton less so. My question is, does anyone have any intel on ‘Northstar’ straps? Prices between the two I have, looking g for something better than the Barton but not necessarily looking to spend £70 on another Artem…..

Oh the joys of buying straps online with only photos to judge how they feel in the wrist, and the joys of relying on "sponsored" youtube reviews.

It's a gamble really.

I have a box full of straps that don't feel right, etc.

If you like Artem the stick to them, it will be cheaper in the long run.

It's better to spend £70 on something you know it's good and you will use/like than to spend that amount of money on something that is going to stay in a box.

On a personal note and opinion I have a sailcloth from Zuludiver and I love it, I use it on a Certina PH200M.

Truth. I have both Artem and Zuludiver. The thing is Artem does not seem to have 18mm options from straps but Zuludiver does. Both are on the top of my list for sailcloth. Bartons sailcloth feel the same as the canvas straps that come with AliX "homages"

Well, that was you experience. I never purchased straps from AliX, just watches out of curiosity. One of them was Suzuku Aquascaphe homage that came with cheap canvas wannabe sailcloth. I've bought Barton off of Amazon and was left unimpressed with faded color blue and stiffness that was uncomfortable. The Zuludiver (which is not $90s) is worth every bit worth the money. Same with Artem. Both have survived rain, heat, humidity and sweat that come from living in East Texas, all while maintaining form and appearance
