Taking the Tudor Royal and the dog for a walk today.

Out for a walk today with my dog 'Minie' and thought I'd take a picture of the remains of Sanquhar Castle for any history enthusiasts out there.

The Castle has had many famous guests in its time including Mary Queen of Scots, James the 1st and James 6th.

Are there any historic sites where my fellow Crunchers live?

Loads of history near me (Fenland)

Boudicca was born 5 miles away (but is just a bumpy field now)

Oliver Cromwell was based 15 miles away

Dinosaur bones found in a local brick quarry

& loads more.

But I'm stuck at work, so no pics sorry.

Love your Tudor , very classy 😍👍🏻

Nice, the black dial is the best in my humble opinion. Looks great on your wrist my friend.👌

Boudicca, a true warrior queen who took on the might of Rome in an epic battle! Thanks, the Royal has quickly become my daily.

Wish I lived near a castle. We don't have any of those in the States. Do live in Boston near the Tea Party site, US Constitution (ship), Battle of Bunker Hill and Lexington and Concord where we whipped you Brits back in the day 😉

Ha ha, you colonialists never had any respect for tea!😅

Those are some v historical sites, would love to have a go with the metal detector over there. Sure to be many good finds.👍
