Seiko Rallye - potential early BDay Gift

Been toying with one of these recently. Firstly for the right price, secondly if it looked good in person.

Managed to view one last week, & confirmed I liked it. Now the hunt was on for a good price. RRP was £300 & managed to get 34% new delivered.

Turned up yesterday but didn’t get a chance to look at until the evening.

Initial impression, fits well for 42mm (Speedy & Carrera previously owned seemed to big). Nice retro looks, lovely sunburst dial. Day/ date execution done well (usually a pet peeve). Bezel aligned (although pics don’t show that). Very reflective need to see how it is in natural daylight. Bracelet is jank (no taper - Tudor you have spoiled me). If I keep it will strap a Seiko black nato in it (I like OEM). Lume is weak (odd for a Seiko diver).

Yeah that’s what drew me in it.

Yeah that’s what drew me in it.

I’ve seen similar in Amazon and thought about one myself

Never seen this Seiko before and I love it!

I have looked at this one pretty often and I love the dial design. To me it looks way more expensive than the actual price tag. Shame about the bracelet like so often on this price range it’s probably to forget about.

Wow, not a 5 I have seen before!

I really looks good.
