My first nice watch. My wife purchased it for me somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 years ago. The watch survived a career in law enforcement as well as many vacations. It went as far as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia where it went snorkeling with me.
It’s a little beat up and scratched up but still looks great. I had the capacitor replaced about 3 years ago. Otherwise it’s still working perfectly.
I’d don’t think I could ask more from a watch that’s been daily worn over such a long period of time.

So she is to blame for the addiction! 😂
I d like to get my paws on one of these. But i ve heard some stories about this capacitator- thing. Is that really that bad?
But i like this watch. Congrats on this
The capacitor was nothing to replace. My local jeweler replaced it in spite of it stating on the case back service center only. The capacitor looks just like a button cell battery and was under $10.
Also the watch was still running perfectly after 17 years. It just wasn’t charging 100% on the power reserve indicator.
I own 3 other Eco-Drives and they’re all functioning perfectly so I don’t think reliability or longevity are an issue at all. Hopefully that helps.
