The lesser popular Seiko Ginza edition

If only I’d got the Alpinist! But they were sold out several times over, so the Presage was the only option. No

Regrets though, I fell in love with the face when I saw in Watchtime magazine at an airport. Openheart is not a popular choice, either is the 24hr clock (I hadn’t set the time for the sharp eyes), but since I can’t afford a Snowflake, and the Ginza Alpinist has more than doubled in price on auction sites (despite remaining unsold at this price), I’m delighted.

Love it, think the open heart looks great too 😍👏🏻👏🏻

The 24 hour subdial looks like a manhole cover that has been opened on a cobblestone street but instead of darkness below, it shows the balance wheel… love it!!

In my opinion this is the better of the two. I really love this model.

I’m a sucker for open hearts. Orient, Bulova, Citizen, the list all seem to fall into a particular niche and price points for me. Rarely an entry level Chinese “homage” piece and even less often a “luxury” offering. I love Seiko’s Presage models and yours is most certainly not an exception. (Alpine615’s description perhaps the most humorous and accurate I’ve heard!) I believe your purchase, rather than the Alpinist, was a wise one. That dial is a thing of beauty and definitely an attention getter for those of us who still size up others by their watch and their shoes! Speaks volumes of the wearer for certain. Definitely not second best! Nice purchase.
