Vario really got it right with this watch. The hands are outstanding and numbers look like the trench watches of the era I have seen. Just modernized enough.

This is true. It may be one of the best feeling leather I have ever experienced for a watch strap. So comfortable.

I would look at StrapCo or StrapHabit. I have liked both. Vario I do not believe make 21 mm straps. I have not tries Barton straps but like there watch rolls.

Those are the affordable ones I know of. I know a few more but the are a bit more.
