I did the unthinkable. After having shit on Seiko for their QC and pricing practices, I broke down and bought a classic Seiko 5 featuring the 7S26C movement. I got this SNXS73 from Jomashop on sale for $109 + free shipping. I could have sworn I saw these for sale on Amazon a few months ago in the $90-$100 range. I would suggest you take a look a JS if you are in the market for a classic, inexpensive Seiko 5. They have this model and also the SNXS79 Made In Japan (darker grey dial) as well. These two are, IMHO, by far the best looking of the classic Seiko 5s.
