Hi Gnomonist: I'm curious about your Spinnaker here. Can I ask how long you have had it? How does it wear? Does it seem well-made?

I missed a chance to get one of their Dumas dive watches this spring ät a great price, büt I will wait to see if they offer a sale again. Despite how "big" of a watch producer they are, I don't find much info about them online. I'm curious to find out more before jumping in in buying one. Thanks

G’day!

I have had the Volcano Black Piccard for about 10 days now and it hasn’t left my wrist. This is unusual, as I tend to swap what I wear either daily or sometimes I swap a few times in a single day.

I am preparing to write my thoughts on the watch, which are all positive so far (from my own subjective point of view). The build quality is top notch for a watch under $1K.

For a 7” – 8” wrist, I’d say it wears right. The specs sound unwieldy, but in all honesty, once you put the watch on, it wears smaller and feels lighter than the numbers would have you think. When you hold it in your hand, it feels heavy, but when you put it on the wrist, it is perfectly balanced – you don’t feel the 250g weight of it. I say this as I mainly wear Titanium based watches, which are quite light.

I have their Croft x Wena3 watch as well, which is way smaller and is of great build quality too. With the NH (Seiko) movements they use, you are assured that if something were to ever go wrong with the movement, then there are plenty of parts for it and also plenty of folks that would be able to work on it.
