Oscar Waldan Triple Date Chronographs from Grand Central Watch
Picked up two Oscar Waldan designed watches from Grand Central Watch. One was described as “mint”, and the other was new old stock with the sticker on the back. Couldn’t be happier!
CASE
Two-piece, 39.5mm, double stepped 18ct solid rose gold case with domed sapphire crystal and 18ct solid rose gold case back. Fluted lugs, 20 mm lug width. 2 recessed correctors at 8 and 9. Jacketed pushers for chronograph at 2 and 4. Knurled crown at 3. Water resistant.
MOVEMENT
1969 Zenith "El Primero" cal. 3019 PHF self-winding movement. 31 jewels, 36,000vph/5hz. 354 components, 50-hour power reserve. Incabloc absorption system; flat self-compensating Nivarox hairspring; bi-directional ball bearing winding rotor, smooth glucydur balance. 13 ligne, 30mm diameter; 6.5mm thick.

COSC "Chronometer" certified Valjoux 7751 self-winding movement. 25 jewels, 28,800 vph/4Hz, 42-hour power reserve. Incabloc shock absorption system; bidirectional ball bearing winding rotor; flat self-compensating Nivarox hairspring; glucydur balance; highly polished screws. Cotes de Geneve finishing, 13-1/4 ligne 30mm diameter, 7.9mm thick.
First watch was a 1963, second a Kudoke 2. Need to learn more about horology, specifically movements
