Watchjourney2024 - First impressions

(For anyone who does not know what Watch journey 2024 is about - check out the hashtag!)

The 2024 Watch Journey watch left Scotland at the beginning of this week and arrived safely in the South of England.

It arrived running slightly slow, but with the date 3 days ahead (maybe time moves differently in Scotland?!) so the first job was to set it to the correct time and date. I managed to do so fairly easily, but struggled to get the crown back in, similar to what @TyrogScot had previously observed. I enlisted the help of my husband, who managed to get it sorted. It has kept time well since then.

My second issue on wearing it was that the strap that came with it was too long - in order to fit it on my 5.5" wrist , I used the tightest hole, which meant the strap was wrapped all the way around my wrist and it flapped around and I kept catching it on things. Thankfully not a difficult job to change the 22mm to a fabric strap with two keepers. (I'll be completely honest in that rubber isn't always my choice as I do suffer with eczema and it goes sometimes aggravate it by not being "breathable" enough).

Once those two little niggles were resolved, I was up and running. I've enjoyed wearing something quite different to what I would normally go for and the watch is very wearable for both me and my husband (just under 7" wrist).

It even has the stamp of approval of my younger daughter, who (like me!) thought the seconds hand shaped like a plane was "very cool". I do love this little plane - it definitely brings a smile to my face when I wear it! I'm hanging on to it for another couple of weeks - the week coming up is fairly mundane, but after that I'm looking forward to taking it with me for an Easter holiday.

Thank you to @Mr.Santana and @benandwatch for letting me join in with the journey!

Excellent review and great to know you have someone that can help to sort that fiddly crown, enjoy your time with it. I thought the aeroplane was a great touch from Skyler too 👍🏼❤️
