Rattling End links - no more

Since yesterday evening I have this beautiful Datejust 16234 white roman dial from the year 2002.

However, putting it on I noted that the bracelet rattled and clicked every time I moved my arm....and really loud....what a disappointment, this is a total no go for me.

This morning I started searching in various forums what the cause could be and how to fix it.

Most answers found were that the rattling is in the hollow end links and that this is normal for an older hollow end link watch but that the rattling does have its charms.....well not for me, it is just plain annoying for me.

Another solution was to slightly bend the underside of the end links so they fit a little tighter and reduce the rattling to an extent....but you have to do this bending very carefully so as not to damage the end link.

And then I found 1 solution which I then tried myself, put a small piece of rubber foam in the end link....and hooray hooray, no more rattling and the watch is now completely silent.

I thought I'd share it here, maybe there are others who have this same problem.
