Glycine doesn’t get a lot of love anymore ( most likely due the “invicta stigma”). I think they are still great watches for the price. I love the airman. Nice piece!

Maybe but this is like not liking Breguet, Blancpain, or Omega because they belong to a conglomerate that is famous for cheap disposable plastic watches.
I’m always intrigued with the glycine. Would you know which model is closest to the original. Is this the one?
The current models that are the closest to the original No. 1 are the 36mm Glycine GL0371 (black dial) or the Glycine GL0373 (white dial). They are called "Purist" because they don't have a GMT hand, instead the hour's hand is a 24 Hour hand instead of the usual 12.
The Massdrop Purist limited edition is the Glycine GL0165 but it's 40mm in diameter instead of 36mm and has a white dial. It can now be found only on the second hand market.
If you prefer the one with a GMT hand then the modern Glycine are the GL0370 and GL0372 for the black and white dial versions respectively.

I'm a big fan of watches that are interesting because they are either unique, have interesting features, well designed or simply offer a great value for their price.
