Retired social worker (don't do no therapy no more no way, no how, thank you Jesus!). I have been collecting cheap but good watches for thirty years, but I lost many in a flood in 2016. I am fascinated by mechanical chronographs and microbrands, which I prefer to think of as Hong Kong-Shanghai/Boutique shops. On the other hand, I have been known to go bananas for Swiss/German/Italian pieces if the price is right and the design quality is there. Although I am not constitutionally opposed to battery computer watches, most of them are dreck. One must be discerning when pulling the trigger on computer/electrical watches. After all, one must uphold standards, and even in computer/electrical watches, good design is paramount.
