Buying off Chrono24

I’m looking to buy a tag heuer off Chrono24, found one that strikes my interest but I’ve yet to have any dealings with Chrono24, is it safe?

Welcome. Chrono24 is a good site. But you're buying from a buyer on chrono24. So you need to do your research. This is how I go about it. I don't but from private sellers. There's nothing wrong with them at all I just don't do it. I don't buy the cheapest watch. I buy a watch with box and papers when I can. I buy from a dealer with a solid rating, lots of good reviews (read the reviews! A bad review that says "shipping took to long but I got what I ordered" isn't necessary a bad review about the seller. Not getting what you thought is a very bad review.) and many sales. History matters. I contact the seller. I ask questions or ask for some more pictures anything that gives me an idea of the seller operates. If anything seems off or I don't feel completely comfortable I won't buy it. I'll find another watch and start the process all over again. I do this same exercise with EBay also. I hope this helps! Good luck 🍀

Thank you. I can’t seem to find any info on the seller… but nothing seems fishy off the bat. I’ve contacted the seller to try and verify some discrepancies. Have you had any experience with their escrow service, and if so, would that be beneficial protection if the watch turned out to be fake or not what is shown

No I'm not sure how it works if there's a claim.

I have one purchase on C24. I bought from a professional dealer and would likely stick with that route. Smooth transaction. Good communication and the escrow process was reassuring. I'd do it again.

I purchased a Black Bay off of C24 from a private seller and it went smoothly. Used the escrow service without issue. You may have to contact C24 support to acquire all the info necessary to process the wire transfer with your bank. The watch I bought had original box, warranty card, extra links, purchase receipt, etc. Plus after it arrived, I took it to a Tudor store to make sure it looked good (I was already very confident that it was legit, but did not want to let arrogance cost me $3k). You have 1 week to do your due diligence before you have to release the funds, so formulate a verification plan and if it doesn’t work out, file a refund claim.

I sold a Hamilton Khaki X-Wind on C24 and everything went super smoothly. Just a perspective from a seller. Terrible picture, but here it is on a Barton strap.
