Speaker of the House Mike Johnson

Of course, a huge deal was made today of Mike Johnson’s supposed Rolex “Batman” GMT (on Twitter), and how a humble “servant of God” could justify an $18,000+ watch.

But context was soon added to the pejorative comment, and the watch turned out to be a FOSSIL‼️

I was more insulted that it was a cheap “poseur” watch, and despite its poorly proportioned blue-black rotating bezel, it doesn’t have 24 hours engraved on it, but instead, a diver’s watch minute countdown.

So it’s a ridiculous mishmash of styles, and of course, NOT a GMT, 🙄!

And Johnson doesn’t BELIEVE in fossils, anyway, I don’t think!

So there’s that…, 😉!

Much more shameful to wear a cheap, crappy watch than an expensive one.

I also don’t understand the obsession that some people have over someone else’s spending habits. If you can afford something from honest money, you should be able to own it if you so choose.

It’s more about the hypocrisy of people preaching modesty and humility to the masses while they live in opulence and superciliousness. But it turned out to be a shitty watch so 🤷‍♂️

Is he preaching that people should be modest and humble in their life? I was not aware of that.

Folks sure are trying to do the gotcha I suppose.
