Found my first watch again

I just found my first watch I have any memories of in a drawer.

Bought it a year before I started my watchmaker apprenticeship and still knew litterally nothing about watches or watchmaking at all ๐Ÿ˜„

Reminds me of simpler times.

What was your first watch?

Do you still have it?

The first "nice" watch I had was a unique armitron granted to us watch folks it isnt a nice watch but it was to me at the time, it was of course quartz and eventually quit and I threw it away but the dial was unique and I wish I still had it

I became fascinated with watches at an early age. Watching my father cleaning his Seiko automatic watch, must have been 1978 or 79 i think, so kept pestering my mother to get me a watch. At that time digital watches were the big new thing in watches but were prohibitively expensive, so i got a simple sekonda mechanical watch. I can still see it now. I was 10. I hated it! ๐Ÿ˜„ I remember over winding it on purpose in the hope id get a digital
