Best budget strap?
I thought I'd write a quick review on this budget strap as it surpassed all expectations. This cost £8.99 and is from a UK seller on eBay. It's far and away the best budget strap I've ever seen.
Let me start by saying I've no affiliation with the seller however after receiving the strap I did tell him I'll be reviewing it on a few forums as I was so impressed with it.
I'll look at the construction first.
It contains cotton, so it's soft, unlike any budget NATO I've had before.
It has laser cut, brushed hardware with profiled corners, it also has a brushed clasp that compares with some of the premium straps I've tried.
The hardware is retained by double stitching. The strap ends and retaining holes are heat treated.
I love how long it is, most budget straps are too short for me. This measures 305mm end to end.
The package as it arrived, just a plastic bag, no fancy box, a couple of spring bars and a removal tool.
These are currently available in Black, Green and Khaki
The seller tells me there was also light grey and slate grey. If he gets enough interest he might make more of those colours.
