Maybe I just want divers 🥴
Ive been after a dressy watch and thought the dresskx Seiko SRPE51 would tick the box. When seeing it in the flesh, I thought it was abit too polished and sparkly for me and would probably never be worn.
Did some research and came cross a brushed version (SRPE61) albeit it was hard to find (currently 1 on ebay) unless extortionate prices were paid...
I did happen to find a bargain after a few months of waiting and here we are.
The good bit is it wears like almost every category of watch and I'm currently wearing it daily. At the moment it's running around +3secs a day! 😲
Most of my watches are divers and I rock a G-Shock at work but I don't think it would be out of place even there. Granted I wouldnt want to scratch the crystal.
My favourite thing about the watch is that I don't need to pull the crown out to wind it.. which is weird cause that's one of the common gripes people have with the recent Seiko 5 models?
I don't love the watch as much as I thought I would.. the sunburst isn't always there and it sits funny on the wrist because of the way it's shaped at the bottom of the case. It looks large on my wrist in pictures but in real life its smaller than my usuals and I find something is abit off..
So after the long wait and all the searching.. maybe I didn't want a dress watch...
Well, they call it the dresskx, but it is far from being a dress watch. It's more like a watch that can be worn at every ocasion without calling much attention to it, but not very dressy. Pair it with a nice leather strap and you get a perfect edc! Cheers!

Yes, I plan to wear it as my daily and see if it grows on me. I'll have a look to see if can find a nice leather strap as I don't have one that fits these lugs at the moment. Thanks for the input.

Wear it on strap or rubber, it is an skx case, so wear it as you would wear a diver.
