Normally I wouldn’t bother with replicas, but this was in my Abuelo’s house that he got as a gift from the university he worked for in Puerto Rico. It came on a horrible stretch band (Timex-style) so I replaced that with the ripoff Jubilee from AliExpress. The only reason I’m keeping this cheap poorly made watch that doesn’t keep time well is because it is emotionally valuable to me. I did discover I love the style and I look forward to the day I can afford the real deal. Wearing it makes me feel slightly more connected to my roots in PR 🖤
