Used Prices of Microbrands

I am a big fan of microbrand watches, and love to collect them but when it comes to making space in the watch box it's a whole other story. The used price for microbrand watches plummets, and sometimes it's near-impossible to recoup anything at all. Is there a microbrand marketplace to connect interested buyers with sellers as these watches tend to sell out on their initial runs so there must be some demand there somewhere!

I am also very interested in this issue. I am attracted to a lot of micro brands, however my concern is that I will spend money on a watch that instantly looses value. On the other hand, I am told by the "experts" that I should invest in a tried-and-true brand such as Omega, Rolex, or Tudor rather than in micro brands. Aside from a few models, I am not really thrilled about any watches from luxury brands. Yet, I feel like I SHOULD buy a luxury or well known brand so that I am making a good investment.

It a tough decision. I think you should not look at it as a way to make money and just buy what you love. Then you'll not be disappointed. Out of pocket maybe when the time comes to flip but sometimes things may go your way. .

Totally agree, good advice here.

Cars are depreciating assets, yet people keeping buying and selling them for thousands regardless of their condition. I don't see watches as investments, just love them as they are. I've given away watches. Flipping a house is much better idea money-wise.
