Inherited my grandfather’s 1972 Rado Diastar years ago. After getting into watches, I decided to pull the trigger to have it serviced. It took the Swatch Group two attempts to get everything fixed, but it was all well worth the wait.

Note, the original bracelet was broken. I figured I would try a mahogany / chili red leather strap to tone it down. I was thinking about getting an army green leather strap to complement the dial color. Any feedback on straps is appreciated.

Cheers.

Gorgeous vintage timepiece, and I'm sure it means everything to you. Brown strap looks good but green may be a good alternative with the gold dial. Either way you can't go wrong.

Hello, fellow Rado. Inherited this from my dad that’s over 30 years old. Swatch group did a good job in servicing it too. I got here is the original strap, I did see pictures where brown leather suit pretty good too.
