I gotta get me purple for Lent. I got white/gold for Christmas and Easter (incarnation and resurrection), red for Pentecost, martyrs, and Holy Week, green for Ordinary Time (not that I wear the green much), Advent blue, and pink for Laetare and Gaudete Sundays. And black too, not that you see black much these days. Sorry for getting all churchy, but I know I'm not the only one who cares about liturgical colors.
The term of a design patent is 15 years (in the United States). If Rolex ever had a patent on the Submariner, it expired long ago. You can't steal the Submariner design, as in a homage, there's no intellectual property, there's nothing to steal. Rolex does however own "Rolex," so you can steal their trademark by putting "Rolex" on the dial. And they also own "Jubilee" as applied to a bracelet, so you can make a Jubilee bracelet, but you can't call it "Jubilee." Hence "five link" or whatever.
If it were me, I would keep the DateJust, the Oris, and one of the Omegas. I don't know much about vintage Omega, but they look quite similar to me. As for the Tank, yes, yes, I know, the Cartier is the OG and iconic, but it's so iconic it's now generic.
I'm sure the 38mm will work for you. Like I said, I wear a 37mm on my 16.5cm wrist. But also like I said, Nomos wears visually really big, especial one that's so plain and stark; I wish the 37mm were a little smaller. And small, discrete, and elegant fits this sort of watch, so I think the 36mm is worth considering. Try them on if at all possible. Nomos doesn't wear like other watches.
