Screen Protector for a G-Shock?

This is possibly a silly noob question. Does anyone use screen protectors on your G-Shock? If so, can you recommend one? There seem to be a few options on Amazon etc. I'm already not to keen on the negative display, so I hope it doesn't affect clarity at all. BTW, it's for a square, GW-B5600.

I'm only a casual G-Shock guy. I own a couple, but never gave them all that much thought. I noticed a few light scratches on the screen. I wasn't even clear on what it was made off. Polywatch did nothing, so I figured out that it's mineral glass. So, I figured I might try to hide the scratches already there, and prevent any new ones. Is this something worth worrying about?

Thanks for any advice.

Don't worry about it.

Be honest with yourself about what you want from your watch. Do you want a pristine watch for pics, or do you want the time?

G-Shocks aren't know for staying pristine, they are known for being reliable. If you need pristine, buy a watch with a sapphire crystal, and hardened steel.

I agree with @KristianG , no need to worry about it. These watches are virtually bullet proof. Wear it and enjoy it. For reference, my G-Shock is my current go to for unknown conditions, and hard work. I ride my Harley with it, work on my house, Jeep, motorcycle, etc. etc. and I don't have a screen protector. I don't have a screen protector on my iPhone 11 Pro either for that matter and it's fine.💪

Whilst I hate the idea of scratching watches. With G-Shock's, especially black ones, it is meant to be a tough watch. If it gets a scratch, in a sense it adds to it, the watch is going to work just fine.

I say forget the screen protector. G Shocks are meant to be banged up. So what if it gets a few scratches. It adds character!

In case anybody cares, and is still reading this, I got a screen protector for the G-Shock. It cost all of $10. It hides the scratches already there, and presumably it won't get any more. Simple, cheap, problem solved.

@KristianG and others, being very honest with myself, I want a functional watch, and I conclude that y'all are being awfully precious about "tool watch." And what makes you think this has anything to do with taking pictures? It's not about what the watch looks like, and you can't see scratches on the crystal in a picture anyway. Yeah, I bang the watch around, jounce it around on my bike, toss it in a bag, shove it in my pocket, hence the scratches on the glass. A tool watch is a tool for telling time, and you look at the time through the glass, so scratches on the glass compromises the tool. And it annoys me. If I can fix the problem easily, why not? If a tool is broke, fix it. Call it duct tape. And, since it's a tool watch, you can put a protector on it without it looking cheesy. "Oh, don't fix the scratches on a tool watch 'cause it's a tool watch 'cause a tool watch is supposed to have scratches" is every bit as precious as babying a dress watch.

Yeah... Go back and re-read what I said.

I wasn't saying that G-Shocks should be scratched to look authentic, I was saying that G-Shocks get scratched...

You asked if it was "worth worrying about", and asked for "advice". Don't get cranky when the advice you get isn't what you wanted to hear...
