Close race here, but the SS 31 is my favorite. The applied markers and dial texture

On this site most of us can choose between many vintage or non-vintage stainless steel options in our collections. Gold has been out of favor since the two tone '90's. Having a little gold on the wrist is a surprisingly flexible option. It can dress up or dress down, sometimes with just a strap change.

I am a broken record, but rectangular watches wear and read larger than circular ones. The mid-sixties is the end of the line for this type of watch. The late-sixties are the first time that "sports watches" become a large segment of the market.

It must be hard being that old.

The dial is a winner for me, it's just a simple beautiful watch

So much choice with vintage Bulova.

The square and rectangular options are particularly classy if you are happy to wear a smaller size, so the Senator gets my vote.

Here is another lovely square case option for your consideration.

That's a stunning watch as well. I just love the Tank styles that Bulova did. here's an Ad from 1946 I found in a Fortune magazine. Gotta love the watch names, The "Carol"

Yes, strange collection of names.

Carol, Janet, Diana, Martha and 'Goddess of time'.

It's like they got their daughters to name them, and there is always that one....

What I'm finding is, There are a lot of Bulova Tanks for sale. Very few in perfect condition. Even less that haven't been refurbished. I'm going to find one, but I'm in no hurry as I'll most likely own but the one. And I want it to be perfect! If I can find a 65 I'll be pleased as paint.

The Bulova SS 31mm Princeton has a price that's hard to refuse.
