Which one would you choose?

I got offered the Tudor Black Bay Harrods (the left one for those who don’t know) for a very competitive price. The blue BB58 is already mine. But I can only keep one for financial reasons. I could: - Keep the blue BB58 and be happy - Sell the BB58 and pay around 1500€ on top to get the BB Harrods and be happy The Harrods has a (much) larger case but is a very special watch with an amazing look. I’m really torn back and forth. How would you decide?

Keep the bb58 as much as I love the color combo on the Harrod’s I feel the bb58 will wear more comfortable due to its size and weight plus that Harrod’s one is a chunky monkey … I’m considering getting the the blue bb58 soon… 😁

Exactly my thoughts! My buddy was so amazing that he lets me borrow the watch for a week, so I could experience it on the wrist before making the decision 😍

I appreciate the uniqueness of the Harrods, but overall think the BB58 blue looks better on your wrist.

Thanks for your input but not an option. I really like the Black Bay

Oh well…

·

I feel the BB58 is the much more wearable option, so that would be my choice.

·

Like the color of the Harrods, but the size of the blue... Hard to decide

·

Harrods has a great look but the BB58 seems to fit your wrist better.

·

Really depends on your wrist size and color preference. The blue dial crowd would be horrified to trade away the blue dial. If you have a larger wrist, then the 41mm is a better fit than 39mm - vice versa if your wrist is 7 inches or smaller.

The Harrods kinda looks like a Tudor British Kermit.

I had previously never understood the appeal of the Harrods version, but the more I see it, the more I like it. The dimensions of the BB58 are much better in my opinion, and it's also a very nice looking watch, so it really comes down to which appeals to you more. If they were both sitting in your watch box, which one do you think you'd reach for more often?

·

I'd happily keep the blue BB58 without question.

·

I know the Harrod’s gets a lot of attention but I always thought that’s a reaction to it’s limited availability rather than it being an attractive watch. I never cared for the colour so that may affect my perception.

·

I feel the Harrods watch likely to go up in value and become collectable at some point.

·

The 41mm might look great initially, but you might start to feel the weight after a day. Try wearing it for a full day, and then decide.

·

Even though I'm reiterating what some others have said, love the colour combination of the Harrod but I feel as if it's a tad too big for your wrist. The BB58 looks perfect for your wrist size, so my vote is to keep the blue 😊

·

Alright so here is my opinion:

The blue BB58 that you already have fits your wrist really well. And that is very important.

You are right though, compared to the BB58, the Harrods is more collectible, but...

2 questions to answer:

1- Does the green bezel/black dial will fit your collection better?

2- Does a thicker case matter to you? To me it matters (outfit for daily wear, lifestyle...)

I would personally keep the BB58 for the long run.

Let us know what you decide.

I voted A. But, really, keep the one that fits you best, and that you like best.

·

I’d maintain the status quo. The Harrods piece isn’t 1500 better. They aren’t even rare or limited.

·

Voted Harrod’s - that colorway is stunning 🤩

Not financially saavy, but nothing g about our hobby is 😃😂

Owning both would be too nutty even for nutty me.

·

I vote keep the blue BB58 -- it is the more handsome watch IMO

But a lot rarer than the blue BB58, especially outside of the UK where the watch wasn’t regularly sold. But I get your point and I am struggling with exactly this question: Is the Harrods worth a 1500€ premium..?

Personally, I don't think so. It's a colourway that will appeal to less people, so that's less people who look at it "in the wild" who will actually like it, versus the blue one. And if you tell someone, "It's a bit more rare than the blue ones!" they aren't going to be particularly impressed or interested. So that 1500 difference really hangs on whether YOU really like the colour enough, and the background to the watch, yourself?
