After cycling through the Powermatic 80 and the Chrono, I finally settled for my favorite size
As the title already suggests, I finally found the perfect sized PRX for me. I first got the Powermatic 80 version in blue while window shopping but eventually sold it because it simply was too large for a three-hander in my opinion. I then got the Chrono because I loved the design, but it’s currently for sale too, as the dimensions don’t appeal to me (who could’ve thought 😛). Today I received the 35mm quartz Version from the German AD Altherr, that I got with a nice discount and I believe this is what I wanted all the time. It would've been perfect if it had a mechanical movement, but I’m not a snob about that and also value the benefits of a nice quartz movement. The only reason though why this rather small size fits me is the integrated bracelet. Put that thing on a leather/rubber strap and it would look ridiculously small on my wrist.
I have to subtract one point from the overall rating, because the seconds hand doesn’t hit the markers which bothers me a lot. I might look for a tutorial and readjust the hand or bring it to my local watchmaker.

I really liked these when they were first released and I’ll see if the want is still there when the automatic 35mm comes out. I don’t want the dial that’s on the quartz version, I want the little waffle 🧇 dial. 😅

Same! 35mm with an automatic (heck, even a hand wound) movement and the waffle dial would be ideal for me.
Love this watch and the color you chose looks great. I got my wife the gold 35mm and she loves it too.

Yes, the waffle dial is great.
I thought I would go for blue, as all the fuss was about the blue waffle dial. But once I got to the AD, it was clear that the black waffle dial would be my choice. I think it looks amazing.
