Seiko SKE093 62MAS Reissue Available now.
Hey folks, I have seen a few people say they missed out on what I consider to be the most important watch released in 2023. No other watch comes to mind from any brand that even comes close to getting me excited BUT I also missed the boat. Yes, they sold out fast!
However, apparently Seiko didn't release all of them and Topper Jewelers in Burlingame, CA just received their allocation.

Definitely on the higher end but I am not sure the price is out of touch. In 2017, Seiko released the SLA017 at $3,400 and this one is $3,500. Seven years is a long time so from that perspective I think Seiko heard our pain on the price increases and decided to dial it back. 😂 You don't see any of the Swiss or German folks doing that, they just keep gouging...
Love this one, but can't really justify that buy. Hear what you say on the 7 year evolution of prices at Seiko (though I wonder if we should not see the SLA017 as equally overpriced back then?).
That said, a great watch, and guess it will continue selling off!

Oh don't get me wrong, there was a reason why I didn't get the SLA017 due to the price but $3500 today feels much more approachable, I also have become much more of a Seiko fan. It's one of those that really can't be justified especially on paper, this is an emotional buy for sure.
