Thought I’d share a recent family heirloom watch handed down to me… my grandfather’s Longines, given to him by my grandmother on Christmas 1952. Just had it serviced and a 70-year old watch is flawless again! My grandfather worked for a printing company hence the ink on the dial. But I love that character and story! #aboutvintage

Beautiful watch...great story and with the bonus of an interesting old bracelet of a sort that they don't make anymore.
Yes, thank you for keeping the very unique expansion band. If anyone knows why watches of the era had these very tall convex crystals, let me know. I always suspect these are near impossible to find a replacement, but I'm probably wrong.

I think that it is for the same reason that an arch is stronger than a lintel.
This looks pretty cool - love the bracelet.
I‘ve tried to look up info on this model of Longines but I can’t find anything. I haven’t found anything about the bracelet, the scalloped edges of the case, the convex crystal, small seconds… I’ve seen other rectangular Longines, but nothing quite like this!
