Part 3:
A. Lange & Söhne:
3 novelties from their 2022 W&W release, titanium Odysseus and new sized Grand Lange 1 in WG and RG
The boutique manager, was super hospitable, had tons of knowledge about the history, the Lange family, and lots of stories with Tony aka Anthony de Haas. She highly recommended Walter Lange's biography. She was telling me there's only 6 watchmakers who do the balance cock engraving, and the ppl who give factory tours are 17 yo girls training to be watchmakers.
Odysseus, amazing as usual (compared to the WG I looked at last time). Ice blue dial matched my shirt today and can only imagine how that plays with the light. Another fun fact, the outer part of the dial between the hour indices is a wavy concentric circle pattern, vs the fluted pattern on the WG Odysseus. Also, the platinum rotor FLIESSSSSSSS like, MAD1 (edited)
Grand Lange 1: All the proportions were changed in order to accommodate the thinner case, so smaller crown and smaller date pusher/corrector. Also the finishing on the dial was very similar to the Odysseus, sand blasted dial on the negative space.
Saxonia Moonphase: Always flip flopping between this and a Lange 1 as to what would be my entry piece into Lange. The pusher just disappears and I love the symmetry. Small tweak would be to adjust the moonphase/small seconds so the indices at 6 aren't cut off. Also love the different hues of blue depending on the light

I've been lusting after a Lange for a while. They are quite simply amazing pieces. The Odysseus is a stunner. I'm not sure I'd go with the titanium, but it's an awesome watch overall.
