Latest Boutique Window Shopping Haul part 1 (Audemars Piguet, Chopard, Tourneau/Tudor/Oris/Rolex)

Stopped by a mall with a ton of luxury watch brands, going to be detailing my experience at each place and posting wrist shots

Part 1:

Audemars Piguet:

had appointment, talked to SA, she said no exhibition models for awhile. But when you're ready you can send us a list and we will see what we can do.

AP part 2: a SA walked into Lange to see the novelties and he let me try on his ROO, first time trying and actually handling a watch. Even though it was titanium, it was heavy af

-----------------

Chopard:

tried on the Alpine Eagle, apparently its been super hot and selling like hotcakes so they made it first come first serve. Bracelet feels nice, nothing too special about the look of the movement. Retails for 13k, comps on chrono around 11. Probably not getting a discount at retail. SA was nice enough to remember that I had visited before

-----------------

Tourneau:

SA was kind of an idiot, definitely didn't know wtf he was talking about. The Pelagos LHD bracelet/clasp was upside down and he was saying "Because its a LHD backwards watch, everything is reversed." I showed him the watch in the right orientation on both wrists and both times, the clasp was upside down. He was like, "Uhm, that's normal." Well your brain is not normal.

Anyways, the Peli felt thick af, but could be because there was tape on the back, taped horribly, I might add.

I was also surprised to see the 10 day skeleton Oris Pro Pilot skeleton. Titanium watch but still had a bit of weight. Really big taper on the bracelet and clasp was super cool, felt like something engineered by Lamborghini. When I asked if it was manual or automatic, he said of course its automatic. I couldn't tell cuz once again, a metric fuckton of tape. Later when he's putting away the watch, he shouts, "oh yeah it's manual wind"

And then just tried the 5 digit YM for kicks to compare with the current rhodium.

Funny overheard comment: a guy and his buddy were looking at watches as well and he pointed to an iced out Hublot big bang and said "that looks pretty cool" (edited)

Great pics!  How do you get it to hang nice on the wrist when bracelet is still full length?  when I try on my pics look silly with bracelet hanging sideways

So the AP was on a strap, but the others, I kind of bend my wrist towards me so that keeps the watch in place. The bracelets aren't too loose to begin with (7in wrist) so perhaps 7in is the perfect medium for ppl to try on. If this is the case, I would assume they have spare links in case someone with larger wrists wanted to try and/or purchase the piece

They look great ! The ROO seems a bit too much though, would prefer the RO. The chopard is surprisingly nice, i havent saw many of them.

The AD told you that Chopard AE is selling well?

I've been told by multiple AEs in EU and Asia that they struggle to move the Eagles...

Love the ROO - and that’s not something I usually say.
