What watch would you bring to a watch WatchCrunch meet?

Hello everyone,

A fun Friday afternoon topic (or early morning I guess depending on where you are from) that I did not see posted before (also tried searching it!). What watch would you wear to a WatchCrunch meet and why?

I find this question interesting because a watch meet is an interesting place where everyone present will ask what you are wearing, so at one point or another you will have to discuss it! You might bring the watch for a specific friend there to see, to tell a story, or maybe even flex? Either way, I am interested!

Personally, I would bring my Lorier Gemini Worn and Wound edition.

I think it would give people a chance to experience Lorier as a microbrand and perhaps get their hands on a watch that they might not have the opportunity to see again due to it being a limited edition.

So WatchCrunch, what watch would you bring?

My favorite brand is Custom. I'd bring something I put together. Lately i've been seeing all the brands as the sum of their parts. I'm fine with bringing a frankenwatch I cobbled together from different brands. It's a hobby with only one rule. Its gotta tick.

Either my Omega Great White or my vintage Tissot chrono.

·

70's Lip chrono.

·

Excellent post!

I would choose my Seiko 5.

Because of its awesome dial people would mistake it for a Grand Seiko and hence presume me to be rich and interesting. More fool them when they speak me and discover I am neither. 😆

Good one…my gshock x hodinkee x John Mayer … why? it looks cool and not pretentious…and it was christmas gift from my wife who hates me collecting watches lol

I would come for flexing only, and the open bar. I might say hello.

Probably either my dresskx or Vostok kommandirskie. You see a guy with a Vostok and you know "this guy gets it".

I dont have that exciting of a collection lol

I'd definitely be excited to see something someone put together. Pretty sure most of them have a story of how it came to be

70's Lip chrono.

Got any shots of it? Stalked your recent WRUW posts and couldn't see it! They have a lot of interesting designs and colorways

Oh, wow! Tough question! I am sitting here and this is my mind trying to decide: my Timex Q digital, no, my Bulova Lunar Pilot, no wait, my Islander #HMBT-ISL-1, no, I've got it, my Seiko Arnie, no, maybe this one, my vintage Citizen 59-1033, no, this one for sure, my G Shock GMWB5000, no, should I pick my Tissot Seastar, no, maybe I should pick something fun like my Casio A100 Pac Man, etc. I would probably wind up looking like this:

I think this is why people bring watch rolls to meetups haha

Definitely interesting! I like their case construction and would be happy to finally get to see one in person. Did that strap come with it? Looks nicely built

No. That is ribbed nato from Cheapest Natos. But it came on a bracelet and a nice black and blue nato with titanium hardware 👌

·

If Max will be there I’d have to wear my GS SBGA407, right? If not, my Reverso Duoface for sure 😉

·

Id bring my Grandads Leonidas as its different to the norm;

One of my favorite watches. I love a red seconds hand. We would also accept Harvey with open arms, looks like he's been practicing to pose for wrist shots. 😉

Personally found the trick that if you hold a small treat in your hand while taking a wrist shot you can get really good dog + wristshots!

love me some Polaris! Excellent choice!

I would bring this beauty to the party

·

Oh man... maybe a MM300 because it gets no love on forums? Or possibl my new Explore 36m .  It' a classic that is what a simple field sports  watch should be. The bracelet is as interesting as the dial LOL!

In a world of luxury watches the MM300 is still a value proposition in my eyes. I know someone who owns one in person, absolutely stunning.

A new explorer would also be amazing to see considering no ADs have them haha

depends on the type of occassion, theme, season, and time of day etc

my usual “go-to” is Panerai as it is one of my favorite brands that I own.

I'd probably bring my Oris Aquis calibre 400 green dial or my GS sbgn005.  If I pull the trigger on the Louis Erard it'd be that :)

·

I think I would wear my Hulk.

I love that watch, it's gorgeous 🥰

Ask her where she got it?🤭 🤣

·

Probably this one:
