What should my next quartz dresswatch be?

Looking at my subcollection of quartz watches, I own a few field watches, a bunch of digital or semi-digital watches, 3 tanks, but only one traditional-looking dress watch - and that was £10-cheapo. So, I am looking for an upgrade - but a modest one, as my finances are under stress after/before several renovation projects on the house. Also, I want a more traditional case size, at the very most 38mm. On AliExpress I found two decent candidates: Choice 1 is an Escapement Time that proudly fails to hide its Chinese origin on the dial. Lookswise, it gives me Citizen Chronomaster vibes, and it has a Miyota movement with a 10-year battery. At £102 the more expensive one. Choice 2 is the Pagani, some kind of Grand Seiko homage. This sports a VH31, which is a bit more power-hungry. Current price: £68.

My favorite quartz dress watch is my Citizen Stiletto - under 5mm thick. There are a small variety of styles and colors

Of the two, the escapement time is far more interesting and beautiful.

Another option.

San Martin SN0101 -Comes in a quartz version with center seconds or small. 38 x 11 x 47. $130ish. Just a very good looking watch with a classic profile.

I find that SanMartin a little bland. It is one of those watches for which SanMartin has a service to customize the dial (for a £20 fee). I might do this one day, with this watch and a military-style Baltany the main contenders.

Ok, the escapement time it is. Some time in April you'll see it in WRUW.
