Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600

Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 has to be one of the most understated Rolex models ever. Even though it was in production for 20 years, one of the longest productions runs of Rolex dive models, it seems that people really started appreciating it only after the newer references came. With it's 40mm case, it's very wearable and comfortable on wide range of wrist sizes. One of the biggest appeals of the watch is definitely the fact that it doesn't feature a cyclops. We made it more casual with our Full-Stitch Loden Distressed strap, which makes it even more understated.

What is your favorite Sea-Dweller reference? Do you like newer, bigger models, or do you prefer a smaller size?

Here’s my 16600 from 2008 on canvas strap. Love how the SD remains the only Rolex with cyclops-less date display and an engraved case back.

IMO a toss-up with the 16570 for Rolex's best model.

Probably my perfect watch 😍 stunning!!

Stunning shot of an even more stunning watch. There is something v. special about the 5-digit Rolex's...

The 16600 is my favorite Sea Dweller and maybe my favorite dive watch. My other favorite is an old Blue Tudor 9401 Snowflake but this SD is still new enough to wear daily.

Why wouldn't the Sea Dweller be understated?  The geniuses at Rolex choose to sell two dive watch models.

The 16600 is a classic.  I still think my favorite is the 1665 'Great White'.  Only because the lume plots match my 1675 😂
