Watch Photographers!

watch photographers always tell me that you have to develop your own "unique style."

What is that?

And do you have one?

Can you share? Let's see those photos!

This should win Nobel prize for photography!!

I'm not sure if I have a style of taking photos of watches. I'm no pro, let alone an artist. I just take pics of watches at random - and more or less well-thought ones for my writing at WahaWatches - some kind of not half bad, methinks.

I did professional photography for years on the side (performing arts/promotion work) and have all the equipment, but I haven’t set up the right rig yet. Personally, I prefer product style vs lifestyle, while playing with light painting. I need to build up the motivation.

·

I'm terrible at wrist shots, but been an amateur photographer for a long time, so when I got into watches I thought ok, this should be fun....and it is, but they are not the easiest things to do...but I'll post a few that I like

gorgeous pair!

·

fantastic wrist shot man!

Photography: the easiest art form to be decent at (you only have to press a button), but that also makes it the hardest art form to develop a personal style

·

I love doing floating shots. Happy #SpeedyTuesday 😎👍

I take what I feel like at the moment, or when there's a good opportunity. Or, if there's a theme. I like some of the shots I posted for #1wc and the Weekly Photo Theme started by @Deeperblue. Here are just some...

I'm just an amateur enthusiast like you, and the photos show that hehehe... 😜

All of you guys who commented here should follow @Deeperblue as she (and I alternately), post the Weekly Photo Theme every Friday so that anyone who wishes to, can post over the weekend. Here was the recent theme...

Not that I would call myself a photographer, just a hack with a nice camera.  Buti go through phases.

Ah yes... the famous and now becoming the classic @HotWatchChick69 style. 😉

·

Depends on the mood sometimes I like to take flashy photos but most of the time I like no frills  just point and shot.

I just try and make the watch look good and like it does in real life. 🤣

It's actually quite easy & fun. The watches are sitting on top of either a shot glass, beer bottle, or wine bottle (clear ones so it won't cast a shadow) 🤓👍

I like to work within a light box, pretty critical if you're doing macro work. There's also the adjustable camera mount that help to really line up and focus the shots when you're working with such shallow depth of field.
