You're gifted 10 000$ to buy watches: how MANY do you buy?

Would you go for your grail watch, two or 3 luxury watches or maybe a dozen "cheaper" watches?

Myself, i would 100% prefer to buy a couple (about 5-7) 1000-1500 watches than one or two more expensive watches.

Grail watch for me. i feel if i would to spend 10Gs for 2/3 luxury or 5-7 2Gs watches, i will always lust on the 10G grail watch and regretting it. 🙂

·

Im Slowly finding out that I’ll be happy with just 1 or 2 watches at a time so I’ll probably get a Milgauss and a g shock 😂

·

Two 5k bad boys, one new and one vintage. Hopefully the vintage one goes up in price and to fund another two because I'm a fiend 😂.

·

Probably unsurprisingly, I'd go for the dozen "cheaper" watches.

·

Zenith chronomaster original reverse panda on the bracelet

·

Probably 1 watch, maybe 2.

At this very moment i would probably go adn get GO PanoMaticLunar 😀

·

Only one: The Zenith Chronomaster Sport

·

I buy one Rolex sub 14060 😁

·

I would get a moonwatch and maybe the Oris Aquis Cal. 400

·

$10 000 I would save it and keep adding until I get the one I wanted. However, that said I would look at either the Franck Muller Conquistador Sport 9900 or Franck Muller Vanguard Yachting then use that as a trade and keep going until I reach the Goal of the Grail. You have to enjoy the journey as well as the anticipation of getting the one you finally want.

·

straight for that grail, no more playing games from here on end. I have to admit that I have already added a few grails to my extensive collection.

·

1-2, certainly.
The problem with 5-7 is that most people don't have 5-7 different circumstances for different styles. Unless you are getting several similar watches and just colour matching your outfits.

I think for most people, an everyday/work watch that matches your daily attire plus an evening/weekender.

One GS White Beach for me.

·

Just one watch for me. Last year I treated myself to a new high-end watch, and after that experience, it's kinda hard to go back to the farm, as the old saying goes. I would rather have two or three watches I truly covet and enjoy than a sock drawer full of "settling."

·

Cartier Santos medium (WSSA0029) and Rolex OP 36 or 41, bright sunburst blue.  I tried the Santos on -- huge mistake as it fit perfectly and is memorizing, but a bit too expensive for me at this time.  OP is simple and elegant at the same time -- I like that it is a Rolex without all that bling.

One GS White Beach for me.

This is what I’d do as well

·

5: casual, chronograph, digital, dress handwind, sports auto

I wouldn't wear anything that costs 10 000$ and any scractch would make me cry

·

I'd probably spend 60-70% of that on one watch, and the remainder on a couple of 'fun' pieces - you know those that mean something to you, with character, that lie around the 500 USD sweetspot (or less of course, who am I to tell?!)

The good ol' one-for-every-occasion :)

·

Probably 2. Either an older model submariner or a gmt 2 and a vintage piece, either from world war 2 or Vietnam

·

1 if I could find a Moser for that little.

·

If I could only spend it on watches, I could get like 20 watches. Might have to gift some at that point lol

·

It would be one for me. Santos, Zenith Skyline, or a used Reverso.
