I have to admit I bought my 1963 years ago before I know about Sea-Gull and Seagull. I have the latter.
I paid 130 € for a sapphire sandwich, it runs with ok +9s a day and a hint of beat error.
I have a feeling the expensive version isn't meant to actually be sold, but to drive sales of the movements. If a $100 watch has the same movement as a $500 watch, then the $500 serves as good advertising for the cheaper alternative
