Last Watch Purchase Made in 2022

The last watch I purchased in 2022 arrived today. I wanted to try Bertucci as I heard a lot of good things and wanted a simple quartz 3 hander. So far I really like it.

Now my 2023 goal is to buy only one watch and no more. Originally I was aiming for no watch purchases in 2023 but my spot on the Helm waitlist is coming up shortly and after two years of waiting I’ll be buying one. Why no watches? Well I have too many value watches already and want to pause for a couple years then pick up something higher end as a reward.

What was your last 2022 buy?

Nothing wrong with a value watch while saving the pennies. Looks great ! My last watch purchase in 2022 was in the summer, a blue Casio Duro. Ordered a watch arriving this Saturday for 2023 but its fairly cheap £100.

It's insanely comfortable when people say you forget it's on your wrist they aren't lying. My watch this month is my iWatch as my wife and I are doing a challenge were getting 8000 steps a day is a goal so I need something that tracks steps. However, I put this on and completely forgot about it ... missed so many steps :(

Yup my evil side keeps saying I need a GMT or Chrono but I'm trying to ignore it lol.

I've had a Bertucci DX3 for a few years and am really happy with it.  I did, however, put it on a single pass nylon strap as the OEM strap from Bertucci was heavy duty enough to tow a medium size car.

I have to agree on that Bertucci strap it is the most hardcore nato I've encountered, need to wear it more to decide if I think that's a positive or a negative lol. I think my only niggle so far on the DX3 is the water resistance I wish it had 100m then it would be my go to vacation watch.

I agree about the water resistance.... But for the price I can't argue.

I most commonly wear it while biking and I have been caught in some pretty heavy rain but the watch has been fine.

The DX3 super has 100m water resistance but $125 is getting close to other field watches I would rather have for that money.

But... I still really like my DX3 "original"

Good choice on Bertucci. Easily one of my favorite brands!

I would say you definitely do lol. However, I can see why keep looking at that cheap Quartz watch and wondering do I really need anything but this.

I LOVE how durable that OEM strap is…surprisingly comfortable….and of course it doubles as a tow strap!
